Because of Cuba's unique blend of heritage, culture, and geography, there is a tapestry of texture, color, and architecture that provides a rich backdrop for the vitality of Cuban life. It is all about the people, the struggles of their lives, their attitudes, and the humor they have developed throughout their challenging lives. It is the best of places to photograph whether you are a beginner or an expert because of their openness to share.”
With 40 years of experience as a professional photographer, producer, and photography instructor and over fifteen years of developing and leading trips in Cuba for the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and National Geographic Expeditions, Kip is a highly knowledgeable and passionate advocate for Cuba. Known for leading "Dawn Patrol," his early morning photography walks, Kip has traveled most of the island and photographed landscapes, portraits, and events all over the island. With an extensive list of locations and contacts, he has a network of Cuban professionals who have become extended family and share his dedication to contributing to the best experience possible.
Recently married to Yunaysy Aguilera, Kip moved to Havana and is experiencing Cuba "en pueblo" daily.
This is a Cuban phrase that signifies they invite and accept you into their lives, literally and figuratively. It is an invitation from the heart fueled by humanity, pride, and hospitality. “En Pueblo” is the core of EyeCuba experiences, placing you in unique photo-rich locations and events. Kip and his crew will provide the support you need to explore Cuba culturally, personally, and creatively. Without the interruptions and awkwardness of larger groups, participating in a small group ensures an intimate experience capitalizing upon the serendipitous opportunities that occur "En Pueblo.”
I was introduced to this concept by the late Jorge Gavilondo. I will forever be grateful for his friendship and the countless introductions and explanations of "all things Cuban."
“Mil gracias compadre, te extraño mucho!” Kip Brundage
